Gabi Becker

Journalist, TV presenter, and artist, Gabi Becker has always been drawn to the unusual - to people, places, and ideas that exist beyond the obvious. Her strength lies in her creativity, intuition, and ability to see connections where others might simply walk past.

On her walks through Berlin, she invites guests to see the city through her eyes - not as a collection of sights, but as a living, ever-changing playground of stories, characters, creativity, and possibility.

A flea market, a forgotten shop, a legendary bookshop, or a place where artists and locals cross paths - Gabi follows her curiosity rather than a fixed route.

She believes that some of the best things in life cannot be found by looking for them. They simply find you.

Her own life has taken anything but a straight path.

She came to Berlin as a teenager, sang with the internationally successful German synth-pop band Alphaville, and fell in love with its singer - a relationship that lasted ten years and immersed her in the city’s wild, creative energy.

She later became a television journalist and news presenter, spending more than two decades in front of the camera for German TV channels including Sat.1, VOX, N24, and Kabel Eins.

Today, Gabi brings all these worlds together: journalism, television, art, intuition, and a lifelong curiosity about what lies beneath the surface.

Her excursions are an invitation to slow down, look at Berlin differently, and perhaps discover something unexpected - not only about the city, but also about yourself.
