An Inspiring Excursion Through Galleries and Museums

Let Nicola Rubinstein guide you on an exclusive art excursion. The internationally recognized visual artist leads you to selected highlights of West Berlin’s art scene, connecting contemporary works with historical context and her own artistic insights — for a city experience beyond the ordinary.

Start

Your journey begins in style at Galerie Bernet Bertram with coffee or tea — a gallery that Nicola Rubinstein has represented artistically for years. After introductions, you’ll stroll to the internationally acclaimed Galerie Max Hetzler located just next door.

Historic Steinplatz

Next, the route leads through the historic Steinplatz, where a memorial plaque honors the victims of National Socialism. Directly opposite, the prestigious Universität der Künste Berlin reflects the neighborhood’s vibrant cultural continuity.

C/O Berlin – formerly Amerika Haus Berlin

The next stop is the former Amerika Haus—a historic building that now houses C/O Berlin. This institution is one of the most important venues for contemporary photography.

Nicola Rubinstein will guide you through the current exhibition with a professional eye and a keen sense of visual language. In doing so, she also brings the building’s eventful past to life—a meeting point between transatlantic heritage and vibrant contemporary art.

A stroll along Fasanenstraße

Afterward, Nicola Rubinstein invites you on an exploration of one of Berlin’s most historic streets. Through art, photography, and Jewish life, Fasanenstraße offers fascinating insights: from architectural examples of bourgeois elegance to galleries and studios, and the significant role of the Jewish community. A vibrant dialogue between past and present right in the heart of City West.

Lunch at the Paris Bar

The event concludes with a two-course meal together at the Paris Bar, a long-standing gathering place for Berlin’s art scene, where conversations continue to flow and the day’s experiences linger in a stimulating atmosphere.
