Nicola Rubinstein

As a curatorial companion, the established artist Nicola Rubinstein provides exclusive access to West Berlin’s art scene.

Leading small groups through galleries and museums, she shares not only insider knowledge of current artistic positions but also insights into her own creative practice. The result is a personal city experience beyond the ordinary, bringing art, history, and creative contexts vividly to life.

Nicola Rubinstein lives and works in Berlin and Brandenburg. After studying at the Art Academy in Halle, she began exhibiting her works internationally in the late 1990s – from Berlin to New York to Tel Aviv.

Her art explores the magic of the sea and mysterious myths: in fluid compositions of color, she transports viewers to the depths of the ocean and the legendary Atlantis. Using a versatile range of materials, from oil paint to overpainted photographs, she creates poetic visual worlds that intertwine nature and memory.
